• NYSE launched Extended Trading Hours for NYSE American options, adding pre- and post-market sessions.

• Early session runs 7:30-9:25 AM ET; late session runs 4:00-4:15 PM ET.
The New York Stock Exchange, part of Intercontinental Exchange, has introduced Extended Trading Hours for NYSE American Options, giving traders added access to listed options outside the core session.
The initial eligible symbols include major ETFs such as SPY, IWM, and GLD, along with options on large-cap tech names including Apple, Microsoft, NVIDIA, Alphabet, Amazon, and Oracle. The early session runs 7:30–9:25 AM ET, and the late session runs 4:00–4:15 PM ET.
"Markets have changed tremendously over the years, and that kind of progress only happens when you keep investing in your technology," said Kevin Tyrrell, Chief Product Officer, NYSE. "Extended trading hours for options reflects market demand for investment opportunities and reliable risk management during a longer period of time, and as we look ahead to bringing the same approach to equities in December, we'll continue to treat innovation as the foundation for growth."
NYSE said the move reflects its focus on transparent, liquid markets and continued commitment to evolving its trading infrastructure while preserving reliability. Full details on eligible symbols and session timing are available in the Extended Trading Hours Fact Sheet.
